COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Liberty High School teacher has turned himself in to police after being accused of sexual assault on a student.

Academy District 20 in Colorado Springs suspended 32-year-old Travis Clark in March after allegations surfaced that he had made sexual contact with a student at Liberty High.

Colorado Springs Police officers began the investigation and interviewed the student, other witnesses and Clark. After months of conducting search warrants and interviews, officers got an arrest warrant for sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust Friday.

Clark turned himself in on Saturday.

Officers haven't released any other information about the case.
