COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- If your neighborhood is affected by the Waldo Canyon Fires, you may be able to see your property this weekend.

City-organized bus trips could begin as early as Sunday and Monday, allowing property owners access to these areas:

Sunday: All neighborhoods South of Chuckwagon Road to 30th Street and west of Centennial
Monday: Neighborhoods North of Chuckwagon Road to Denton Grove Road and west of Centennial

Each street will be assigned a specific time, and tours will begin at Coronado High School. Definite times and dates won't be announced until the city gets an OK from the Federal Incident Management Team. That is expected by tomorrow.

You will be able to access your home regardless of whether it is destroyed, damaged or still standing. But no one will be allowed off the bus due to active fire conditions. If you are concerned about your property, you will only be able to access it after the evacuations have been lifted.

People who are concerned about their pets can contact the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region through their website or by phone at (719) 473-1741.

Based on daily fire conditions, the trips may be modified or canceled at the last minute – click here for updates.
