TELLER COUNTY, COLO. -- Four people were arrested after police found counterfeit money and equipment to make it in a Woodland Park home.

The Teller County Sheriff's Office said it had been investigating counterfeit $20 bills being passed around the county.

Monday morning, police said a female suspect was identified and arrested. Monica Paradise was transported to the Teller County Jail.

A search warrant was then granted for a home in Woodland Park. Inside the home, counterfeit money and equiment used to make counterfeit money was seized by Woodland Park Police and Secret Service Agents.

Two male suspects were interviewed and arrested. The police investigation led to another search warrant at a Colorado Springs home on Tuesday morning.

"We did find ten, 20 and 50 dollar bills in the home in Colorado Springs that were either in the process of being made or cut," Sgt. Porcelli with the Teller County Sheriff's Office said.

One of the men inside the home was taken into custody by Teller County authorities and the other was taken into custody by Colorado Springs Police.

At the Colorado Springs home, police said counterfeit money and equipment used to make counterfeit money was seized.

"If you inspected it you would notice the feel is different, the water mark when you put it up to the light also was not there," Sgt, Porcelli said.

Paradise, along with Brian Joe, Austin Gulla and David Bowers were transported to the Teller County Jail.

"The people that we have in custody right now were working in this area, although we are still investigating to see if they were involved in any other areas," Sgt. Porcelli said.

This case remains under investigation, police said.
