COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Two people were arrested after a maintenance man for a Colorado Springs apartment complex found what appeared to be two unexploded chemical bottle bombs.

The area near North Carefree and Oro Blanco was blocked off and members of the Colorado Springs Regional Explosive Unit responded.

The devices were exploded on scene. Two other devices that had already exploded were also found in the area.

Sgt. Michael Spitzmiller said, the devices are very similar to a dry ice bomb, but in this case the suspects used something acidic which is harmful to the skin. So, they're more dangerous than a dry ice bomb.

During the investigation officers took two parties into custody who confessed to making the devices.

They are Caleb Long, 24 and Tyler Frasier, 21.

They will be transported to CJC and have been charged with Possession of an Explosive Device which is a felony.

They also destroyed a mailbox with one of the devices and have also been charged with misdemeanor Criminal Mischief.

No one was injured during the incident.
