Deadly crash on I-25, southbound lanes closed

All southbound lanes of I-25 are closed at the Fountain-Security exit, after a deadly accident early Thursday morning.

The Colorado State Patrol says A 19-year-old male was killed after the car he was driving and a semi truck collided head-on around 4:30 a.m. near Ray Nixon Rd., mile marker 125.

According to troopers, the semi was traveling south in the southbound lanes when it  crashed in to a vehcile driving the wrong way on the interstate.

The crash has been cleared however southbound lanes are expected to be closed for several hours.

There is a detour in place at Old Pueblo Rd.
