Police investigate shooting at Bijou & Bonfoy

Colorado Springs, COLO. -- An overnight chase ends with one suspect being shot.
Colorado Springs Police say when they observed an individual driving a stolen car near Astrozon and Powers around 1:00 this morning, the suspect fled and a chase began.
The alleged suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Robert Kresky.
He was eventually stopped when a police car rammed into it near Bijou and Iowa, a few blocks east of Union Blvd.
Kresky then ran and the pursuit continued on foot. It was during the foot chase that an officer shot the suspect, who was transported to a local hospital.
He remains in the ICU at Memorial Hospital. He's facing multiple felony charges, which are being reviewed by the District Attorney's Office.
Investigators from the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office are co-investigating this incident along with detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit. The officer will be placed on routine administrative leave.
