PARK COUNTY, COLO. -- U.S. Forest Service officials said weather conditions Monday helped firefighters fight a wildfire that has grown to 70 acres in Park County near Wilkerson Pass.
Officials with Pike National Forest said the fire burning west of Lake George is twice as big as it was when crews were first called to it over the weekend. There are currently 60 firefighters battling the fire, which is about 60 percent contained as of Monday evening.
One structure was threatened, though officials said the 'Weber Fire' has since shifted.
Crews hope to set up containment lines by Monday's end. Nobody has been evacuated.
Cooler temperatures Monday assisted crews, and possible thunderstorms Tuesday could also help.
