DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission is reviewing conservation easements that were set up to protect wildlife.

The program being discussed Thursday has protected more than 173,000 acres of wildlife habitat in Colorado. It also has opened more than 78,000 acres to public hunting or fishing.

On Friday, commissioners will be briefed on federal discussions for protecting the Gunnison sage-grouse, lesser prairie-chicken and wolverine.
