Pueblo police arrested a man who is accused of assaulting his wife and forcing her into his van.
Police were alerted Wednesday morning just before 9 about a possible kidnapping in front of South High School. The witness told police a male driver got out of the van and was seen talking to an unidentified person.
Police said the witness reported the man grabbed the pedestrian by the shoulder and put them in the front passenger of the van.
Investigation led police to 34-year-old Justin Hecker and his wife. Hecker and his wife had been in a verbal argument when she exited the van, police said.
The wife, according to police, started walking and Hecker followed her in the van. He eventually exited the vehicle, assaulted her and forced her into the van, police said.
Hecker was arrested and charged with Second Degree Kidnapping, Third Degree Assault and Domestic Violence.

The Pueblo Police Department is investigating a possible abduction from Wednesday morning.
According to police, a witness saw a white van with a black stripe pull up in front of South High School at about 8:50 a.m. The van may be similar to the one pictured, police said.
The witness told police a male driver got out of the van and was seen talking to an unidentified person.
Police said the witness reported the man grabbed the pedestrian by the shoulder and put them in the front passenger of the van.
The driver then, according to the witness, got back into the van and left northbound on Hollywood. It is believed he turned either east on Baystate of continued north on Hollywood.
A second witness said the two involved in this possible abduction were a male and a female in their mid 30s.
