COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- One man is dead and another is behind bars following an overnight shooting in Howard.
The Fremont County Sheriff's Office said deputies were sent to a home on Holidays Hills Drive around 12:30 Sunday morning for a shooting.
When they arrived, authorities found 34-year-old Daniel McBride in a bedroom with a gunshot wound to his abdomen area.
They said Daniel McBride was pronounced dead on the scene.
As for what happened, investigators said Daniel and his 32-year-old brother, Joshua McBride, along with a 27-year-old woman were involved in a physical altercation at the home.
They said Joshua McBride then shot Daniel once with a 12 gauge shotgun.
Joshua and the woman received minor injuries during the fight.
The sheriff's office said following treatment at the hospital, Joshua McBride was arrested on a charge of murder in the second degree.
His bond has been set at $30,000.
Investigators said alcohol was involved in the incident.
