COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A fatal shooting on Colorado Springs' west side remains under investigation, according to police.

One adult man was killed in the shooting, police said.

The shooting happened at an apartment in the 2500 block of King Street, near 19th Street and Uintah Street, at around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.

"My daughter was outside playing and riding her bike, and then saw all of this going on," a neighbor said. "I am really freaked out."

Police said they are searching for a suspect.

"It does appear that we have a shooter out there," Barbara Miller, Spokesperson for CSPD, said.

The investigation continues and police said interviews are now being conducted.
