Age is only a number at the Colorado Springs Senior Center. These senior citizens are staying young and healthy through their daily workout routines
For Barbara Teskelenz and her daughter Tammy, the senior center offers many activities, such as Zumba workouts, line dancing classes, and even exercise ball movements that get them feeling good about themselves throughout the day.
"It gets me going in the morning. Otherwise I'd sit and read the paper," Barbara says. ""My husband says whenever I come home and back from Zumba, I just have so much more energy and it just feels like I can set the world on fire."
That's not the only thing that gets Barbara going in the morning. Moving to Latin beats and rhythms has her feeling on top of the world, and it even has other people noticing too, she says!

The Colorado Springs Senior Center provides quality of life experiences for older adults. According to senior center director, Mendy Putman, it's a place where you can come and enjoy like activities with other people who like doing the same things you do and meet new friends.
"It's a real diverse center where people come and go on their own and take advantage of all of the classes. we have resources available to the adults and the community, and we are the only senior center in Colorado Springs."
Folks like Barbara and her daughter Tammy are making it a top priority to exercise here as often as they can.
