GREELEY, COLO. (AP) -- People who drink alcoholic beverages are being allowed to have open containers in limited areas of downtown Greeley.

The new rules approved by the Greeley Liquor Authority go into effect on Friday, just in time for a downtown concert.

According to the Greeley Tribune, the Downtown Development Authority expects about 2,000 people at the debut of the "Go-Cup" district on the 9th Street Plaza Friday night.
