WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The White House is saying, "no" to a construction project that could add an unknown number of jobs.
That project: building a "Death Star."
Yes, just like the one in the "Star Wars" movies.
The spherical Death Star space station was the domain of the Galactic Empire and featured a super laser with the power to destroy planets.
The idea to build one was posted as a petition on the White House website.
It received more than 34,000 signatures, which means the administration had to comment.
Their response?  "The administration does not support blowing up planets."
The White House also said the estimated $850 quadrillion price tag for the project was a bit too high.
