Shots fired during Colorado Springs home invasion
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs man narrowly missed a bullet after intruders broke into his home early Friday morning, according to police
At about 1:30 a.m., police were called to a home in the 2100 block of West Cucharras Street to investigate a home invasion robbery where a shot had been fired.
Police said a man and woman had been awakened by a loud noise, perhaps a door being kicked in. After hearing the noise, police said the man went to see what it was. He saw three unidentifiable figures.
The suspects, according to police, then noticed the man. One of the suspects then fired one round at the man, nearly hitting him in the head, police said.
As the man started to leave, the suspect fired a second round, police said.
No one was hurt during the home invasion and the suspects fled the area.
