PUEBLO, COLO. -- Police in Pueblo are warning residents about counterfeit money after more than 30 instances of it have been reported this year.

About 33 reports have been filed with the Pueblo Police Department since the beginning of the year.

Residents and businesses are reminded to have their money checked, either with a counterfeit detector pen or by looking for the metallic security strip.

Any information on counterfeit money can reported to Pueblo police at (719) 553-2502 or to Pueblo Crime Stoppers at (719) 542-STOP.

Tips leading to a felony arrest can qualify for a cash reward.
