Ah - Facebook is changing... again. But this time, it's its News Feed

The changes were announced Thursday morning and include more emphasis on visuals. That means photos and videos will play an even bigger role on the social media giant.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the News Feed purpose is to be the "best personalized newspaper."

That newspaper, Zuckerberg said, is intended to be filled with compelling information that is tailored for each user.

Users will also have more ways to control the types of posts that appear in their feeds.

The new design started rolling out Thursday.

Facebook now boasts more than 1 billion users.

"Our goal was different from what any other social service was trying to provide," Zuckerberg said.
