COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Colorado Springs Police Department is now on 'Accident Alert' status because of snowy conditions.

That means cold reporting is in effect unless the wreck involves injuries or there is suspicion of drugs or alcohol.

According to police, anyone involved in a crash is urged to keep their seatbelt on in case of being struck by another vehicle. Once outside of the vehicle, it is recommended to stay away from the road until authorities arrive.

City crews along with El Paso County crews were dispatched Monday evening. According to the county, several roads were reported with extremely low visibility.
