COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police are searching for the two men who help up a bank Thursday afternoon.

Just before 1 p.m., police were called to the Academy Bank in the 1600 block of Space Center Drive, near Palmer Park Boulevard and Powers Boulevard on the report of an armed holdup.

Police said two men who were armed with handguns entered the bank and took cash from multiple teller drawers.

According to police, the masked suspects were believed to be black men in their 20s. They were described as being between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten with medium builds. Police said they were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, light colored sweatpants and athletic shoes.

The suspects were last seen running from the bank in an unknown direction, police said.
