Woman runs to neighbor's house to report sexual assault

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested a man for sexual assault early Monday morning.

Michael Clennan was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including attempted sexual assault.

At about 12:45 a.m., Monday, police were called to the 2200 block of Sable Chase Drive about a sexual assault. The person who reported the sexual assault told police a woman knocked on their door and said she had just been sexually assaulted at a house down the street.

Police went to the victim's home and the victim said Clennan had become aggressive and tried to force himself on her. According to police, the victim was able to flee to a nearby house after a brief struggle.
