Springs police witness drug deal, find meth in car

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested one person overnight during a traffic stop and drug bust.

Just after 2:00 Sunday morning, an officer witnessed a possible drug deal between two cars near S. Academy Boulevard and the Hancock Expressway.

After stopping one of the cars involved, police said they found 10.5 grams of meth and a digital scale inside.

The suspect, 26-year-old Vincente Fernandez, was arrested on several charges including DUI and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
