Police chase ends in the Springs using a stun-gun

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police are investigating a chase that happened this afternoon in the 900 block Yuma near Galley and Circle.

According to police, a man was reportedly stealing gas from other vehicles in the area. One of the victims told police he saw the suspect stealing gas from his vehicle.

Authorities said that's when the suspect fled the scene in a stolen red Dodge Ram pick-up, and a chase pursued.

The chase ended in in the 2600 block of Platte where he later climbed on top of a building in the area. Officers used a stun-gun on him after a short foot pursuit on top of the building.

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Mark Sticka, is being charged with Attempted First Degree Assault on a Peace Officer among other charges.
