COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police are searching for a suspect who is accused of robbing two women in a Walmart parking lot Thursday evening.

The robbery happened at the Walmart located at Palmer Park and Powers just before 9 p.m., Thursday.

Police said a woman had just finished shopping when she and a friend were putting the items in their car. That's when, according to police, a suspect approached the woman and demanded all her money.

The suspect did not display a weapon but he kept his hands inside his pockets to indicate he had one, police said.

After the victim gave the man all her cash, he jumped in his vehicle and fled. The victim and her friend followed the vehicle as they called police.

The vehicle was described as a white Toyota truck with New Mexico plates and was last seen in the area of Galley Road and North Circle Drive. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s about five-foot-eight with a medium build and brown hair wearing gray sweatpants and a black and white hoodie.
