Pot found on Greyhound bus in Lamar

LAMAR, COLO. -- A man is now in custody after police said more than 600 grams of marijuana were found inside a Greyhound bus.

At about 12:15 p.m., a K-9 unit sniffed a Greyhound bus in the 1000 block of North Main Street. The dog alerted to a bag that was ont he bus, police said.

Inside the bag were two brick-shaped packages that smelled of marijuana, police said.

Approximately one and a half pounds of marijuana, or 639 grams, were in the packages.

Police said the person who was sitting in the seat fled on foot. He was later located.

Marcus Media was transported to the Prowers County Jail where he was held on a $30,000 bond.
