Wildland fire in Pueblo burns 70 acres, no structures in danger

PUEBLO, COLO. -- A wildland fire is burning in Pueblo, near Lake Minnequa.

A spokesperson with the Pueblo Fire Department said the fire is burning south of the lake, just north of Pueblo Boulevard.

As of 4:00 Saturday afternoon, the fire had burned around 70 acres and was about 80 percent contained.

No injuries have been reported, and no structures are currently threatened.

Authorities said an emergency notification call was issued to residents for precautionary reasons.

The cause is under investigation.
