The name of a wrong-way driver on I-25 who died early Thursday has been released.

The El Paso County Coroners Office said the victim has been identified as 19 year old Mathou Valenciano.

The Colorado State Patrol said Valenciano was driving north in the southbound lanes of I-25 near Ray Nixon Road when he collided head-on with a FedEx truck about 4:30 Thursday morning. Valenciano was ejected and died at the scene. The driver of the FedEx truck, Steven Hall of Pueblo, was uninjured. The highway south of Fountain was closed for hours.

It is unknown is drugs or alcohol played a roel in the crash.
