(AP) -- PUEBLO, Colo.  -- Two patients at the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo have been taken to a hospital, and one has been arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder.

Institute officials say there was an incident Wednesday morning and two patients were taken to a hospital, but they didn't release any details.

According to an affidavit, Lamar Del Ray Davis is accused of taking scisssors from a nursing station, walking to a sleeping female patient's room and attacking her. He is being held without bond.

Colorado Mental Health Institute Superintendent Bill May said in a written statement that the incident will be investigated, and procedures will be reviewed to determine whether changes need to be made to keep residents safe.
