COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. --

Colorado Springs Police officers are investigating a crash in which a car hit a Colorado Springs Utilities worker Wednesday afternoon.

Officers said a 1985 Mercury Cougar was driving around construction cones on Ellston and Chestnut Street and struck the worker with the front end of the car. The worker wasn't hurt in the crash but was taken to Memorial Hospital as part of protocol.

The driver of the Cougar left the scene, but officers found him about an hour later. The driver is an 80-year-old man, and no charges have been filed against him at this time.

Officers are still looking into the investigation.
