COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are investigating three overnight robberies to see if they may be related.

The first of the three happened around 1:20 a.m. Thursday at the Timberlane Apartments on East Bijou Street. Officers said two people were walking to a friend's apartment when a man with a gun came up to them and demanded personal items. He took them before running away.

The victims said they saw a few other men leave the area with the gunman.

Fewer than 15 minutes later, another robbery happened on East Dale Street. A man was parked on the street when a suspect opened the passenger  door to confront him. Another man with a gun opened the driver's door and told the victim to lie on the ground. They and a third suspect took the victim's stuff and ran off.

Around 5:10 a.m., a man walking along Delta Drive was stopped by a gunman who took the victim's property and drove away.

Officers haven't said whether or not any of the robberies are related but said suspect descriptions in each of the three are similar, and all involved a gun.
