COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said a man who robbed a credit union Wednesday afternoon is still on the run Thursday morning.

According to officers, a man came into the Security Service Federal Credit Union on North Academy Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. and gave the teller a note demanding cash.

He then fled after a run-in with a bank security guard.

Officers searched the area but couldn't find the robber.

Officers said the suspect is a 6' black man with a medium build who wore a ball cap and sunglasses during the robbery. Anyone with information should call police at (719) 444-7000.
