COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said they found a man with two gunshot wounds to his leg early Thursday morning after getting a call from New Mexico.

Officers said the victim called someone in New Mexico and said he had been shot. That person then called Colorado Springs officers.

Officers didn't know exactly where the man was but found him in a motel room on South Nevada Avenue around 2:30 a.m. They said he was a registered guest.

According to officers, the shooting is still under investigation, and they don't know what happened or if anyone else was involved.
