Car hits women walking across street with baby in stroller

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Two women are in critical condition Monday morning after being hit by a car while walking across the street with a baby in a stroller in Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs Police officers said the women were walking across North Carefree Circle at Picturesque Drive around 8 a.m. Monday when they were hit by a car.

Both have critical injuries and are in the hospital.

A baby in a stroller was crying but was still strapped in and was not hurt.

There is no crosswalk or stoplight at Picturesque.

Westbound North Carefree is closed from Picturesque to Oro Blanco Drive. Officers are urging drivers to take an alternate route.
