CASTLE ROCK, COLO. -- Fire crews responded to an explosion that leveled a house on Friday morning.
The Castle Rock Fire Department confirmed the house had been completely leveled after an explosion, but there were no flames reported.
Homeowners across the city said they felt the shock waves from the blast.
There was no confirmation about the cause of this disturbance, but police scanner traffic did say it may have been a natural gas explosion and could have been caused by a microwave.
Although it has not been confirmed, there are reports of witnesses saying five people were injured in the blast, however, another witness claims the entire family was able to escape before the explosion.
We'll have more on this story as it develops.
