COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs High School student is facing possible disciplinary action after being accused of poisoning the ranch dressing in the cafeteria Monday.
According to Vista Ridge High School administrators, 20 students had to leave school around lunchtime after reportedly feeling nauseous.
A student reported to administrators that another student had spoke about putting Visine in ranch dressing around noon.
School officials could not confirm if it actually happened, and the student said the liquid in the Visine bottle was water. Officials never found the bottle.
Visine can cause dizziness, nausea and vomiting if ingested.
Colorado Springs Police officers were called as a precaution, and the school sent out a warning to parents.
None of the impacted students were hospitalized. Administrators did not release any other information.
