Air Force Academy ID's Cadet who died Friday

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, COLO. -- Air Force Academy officials have identified a Cadet who died Friday.

Officials said Cadet 1st Class Matthew Patrick was taken to Penrose Hospital after being found unconscious on base.

Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the hospital.

Officials have not released any other details about his death and said the cause remains under investigation.

Patrick was a 22-year-old aeronautical engineering major from Dallas who had just started his senior year. He has a mother, father and sister.

Academy officials told the other Cadets about Patrick's death during lunch Friday.
