COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said the District Attorney's office has served a summons to the woman who hit a motorcycle Sept. 20 in the city, killing its rider.
According to officers, 27-year-old Rebecca Bedoya was served and released Wednesday on charges of vehicles turning left and careless driving resulting in death.
Bedoya turned left from eastbound Lake Avenue onto northbound Cheyenne Boulevard in front of a motorcycle around 11:19 a.m. that day. The rider, 25-year-old Kevin Marinec, was riding west on Lake, hit the car and died at the scene.
Investigators said both had a green light, but Bedoya did not have a green arrow.
She is due in court Nov. 7.
