COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers got a scare Thursday evening when four cars crashed while they were processing a shooting scene.

According to officers, a man shot himself while in a car in the 700 block of North Academy Boulevard around 5:43 p.m.

While they were processing the scene, four cars crashed in the lanes next to them.

Nobody was hurt in the crash, and the shooting victim was taken to Memorial Hospital for surgery.
