COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said charges against a woman who hit a motorcycle while driving Thursday, killing the driver, are probable.

Around 11:19 a.m. Thursday, a woman turned left from eastbound Lake Avenue onto northbound Cheyenne Boulevard in front of a motorcycle. The rider, 25-year-old Kevin Marinec, was riding west on Lake, hit the car and died at the scene.

The woman and a child had minor injuries.

Investigators said both had a green light, but the car's driver did not have a green arrow.

Officers said no one has filed charges yet, but the woman likely faces vehicles turning left and careless driving resulting in death charges.
