COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Colorado Springs Police are asking for help locating a missing elderly woman.

Mary Griffin, 80, was last seen at her home on Northcrest Drive at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. Officials said she was on her way to a doctor's appointment at the former Penrose Community Hospital building, but never arrived.

None of her family or friends have heard from her and area and location searches have been unsuccessful.

Police said Griffin has a medical condition that can cause her to become disoriented if she doesn't eat.

Griffin is described as a black female, 5'2", 125 pounds, with gray hair. She was last seen driving a 1994 tan Lexus, four-door sedan with CO license plates KCG9101. She was wearing a short, dark brown wig.

Police said at this time they don't believe her disappearance is suspicious.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact CSPD at 444-7000.
