CANON CITY, COLO. -- A Canon City private day care provider was arrested Wednesday on child abuse charges after a 4-year-old boy drowned in her pool in August.
Fremont County Sheriff's deputies said 52-year-old Leslie Grayson was caring for a number of children Aug. 15 when 4-year-old Riddick Boling drowned in her backyard swimming pool.
Grayson turned herself in at the Florence Police Department and was released after posting a $15,000 bond.
Her next court date is scheduled for Sept. 12 at 1:30 p.m. on seven child abuse charges.
