EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- The driver of a car that turned left in front of an oncoming car, causing a crash that killed a woman, has been arrested.
Colorado State troopers said 48-year-old Dana Grignano was taken into custody Wednesday.
Troopers said Grignano turned west from northbound Colorado Highway 83 onto North Gate Boulevard. While making the left-hand turn, a southbound car t-boned Grignano's.
A woman, 54-year-old Gina Jump, was in the passenger seat and died. Grignano and the southbound car's driver, 30-year-old Maria Zubareva, both had minor injuries.
Grignano is charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol.
