Police investigate possible auto shop fraud

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are investigating Springs Transmissions and Automotive for possible fraud. Officers said there may be as many as 50 victims, many of them elderly or low-income.

The auto shop, located in the 3300 block of Chelton Loop, is being investigated for failing to complete work, performing unauthorized repairs, stealing car parts and refusing to return cars to customers.

The owner of the business, 37-year-old Gregory Ehines, is being further investigated for other related crimes.
