COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- An overnight standoff in Colorado Springs that involved the SWAT team is over after police officers said the suspect committed suicide.

Colorado Springs Police officers said the standoff began at 11 Monday night at the Fountain Plaza Townhomes near Circle Drive and Verde Drive

Officers received a tip that a male wanted for one felony warrant and two misdemeanors was in the apartment.

After a few hours of negotiations the suspect eventually broke contact with officers.

Officers then entered the apartment and found the man dead after apparently shooting himself.
