CANON CITY, COLO. (AP) -- A minimum security prison is being scoured for weapons after an inmate claimed he was shot while walking on the prison track.
Colorado Department of Corrections spokeswoman Katherine Sanguinetti says a bullet was removed from the unidentified inmate's knee on Tuesday, a week after the reported shooting.
According to the Pueblo Chieftain, the man being held at Four Mile Prison at the East Canon Prison Complex is recovering from his injuries.
