Sex offender moves to new Colorado Springs address

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A convicted sex offender has moved to a new address in Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs Police officers said 38-year-old Rarlin Barbin has moved for the third time in two years. The sexually violent predator is now living in the 4200 block of Galley Road.

Barbin was convicted in El Paso County of attempted sexual assault on a child in 2001, offenses relating to marijuana distribution in 2002 and failure to register as a sex offender in 2004.

In 1998, Barbin was convicted of assault with intent to do bodily harm less than murder, as well as escape.

Barbin is a 5'10" tall black man, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
