CENTENNIAL, COLO. (AP) -- The suspect in the Aurora movie shooting showed no emotion in court as a lawyer discussed a charity's efforts to help victims.

James Holmes attended a brief procedural hearing in his case on Thursday in which the prosecution sought the judge's permission to release contact information for the victims to a charity that's raised $4 million for victims. Most documents in the case have been sealed so even that step required the judge's approval.

Prosecutor Rich Orman said many victims and their families are in "dire financial straits". Holmes was wide-eyed but didn't show any reaction.

The University of Colorado, where Holmes was a graduate student, also turned in 100 pages of documents but one of Holmes' lawyers objected to the judge reading them. The judge will consider that issue at a hearing next week.
