COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are looking for a man accused of forcing his way into a woman's house and sexually assaulting her.

Officers didn't say exactly when the alleged assault happened but said they met with the woman around 2:33 a.m. Wednesday at Penrose Main Hospital.

The woman told them she answered the door in the 2800 block of Tumbleweed Grove when a man knocked. The two talked briefly before he forced his way in, attacked her, sexually assaulted her and stole some of her belongings before leaving.

The woman described the suspect as a black man in his mid-20s. He's about 5'7" - 5'8" and weighs 160-170 pounds with a stud type earring in his right ear, short black hair, a gap in his teeth, a stubbly beard or possibly unshaven and possible acne scars. He more a black t-shirt and dark blue jeans.

Officers are asking anyone with information on the case to call them at (719) 444-7000.

The report comes fewer than 12 hours after officers announced the arrests of five men accused of being involved with the violent sexual assault of a woman back in July.
