CRIPPLE CREEK, COLO. -- Cripple Creek city officials said they expect one lane of Highway 67 to reopen by Tuesday afternoon.
A sinkhole in the highway forced crews to close the road Saturday. A temporary traffic signal will be used to filter traffic on one lane of the highway.
Officials said travelers should expect minimal delays, but they should follow posted speed limits and be alert to traffic control signage and direction.
The Salute to American Veterans Rally Aug. 17-19 and the motorcycle ride along Highway 67 into Cripple Creek are both still scheduled as planned.
