FOUNTAIN, COLO. -- A domestic disturbance Sunday morning ended with shots being fired.

The Fountain Police Department said their officers were called to a home in the southeastern part of the city around 2:00 a.m. for a man who was threatening to harm his family.

Authorities said the suspect fired one round inside the home.

They said officers were eventually forced to shoot and wound the man.

He was taken to the hospital.

His condition has not been released.

No one else was injured.
