COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a teenager who is accused of setting off a modified explosive bomb in an apartment complex parking lot Tuesday evening.
Officers responded to the Westview Apartments on University Drive around 6:54 p.m. after someone reported several loud explosions.
According to officers, 19-year-old Shawnell Fountain put black powder into tall round cylinder containers and lit them on fire in the back parking lot.
Nobody was hurt, but one tenant said sparks came through his window screen, and the explosion caused his ears to ring.
Fountain will be charged with incendiary or explosive devices.
